Goal Seek can be used to find, for example, a specific amount at a specific time. However, it requires that you have created a dynamic spreadsheet where the cells refer to each other.
Example:
I would like to go to the Olympic Games in 2032. Therefore, I would like to have 50,000 kroner in my account on 31 December 2031.
A useful function in Excel is Goal Seek. With Goal Seek, you can specify that you want a balance on 31 December 2031 of 50,000 kroner and that Excel should adjust the payments. Excel will then adjust the payments so that the balance becomes 50,000 kroner on that date.
